The project was previously awarded a $50.8 million Capital Investment Grant and a $14.2 million BUILD Grant.
The extension "will boost economic development and provide reliable, no-cost transportation to more people in the region."
The grant funding announced today was provided through the Blunt-backed FY2020 government funding bill.
The project was designed to replace a narrow bridge, improve safety and add complete streets improvements.
