2. Session Taco in Kirkwood closing January 25 (stlmag.com) — Session Taco’s Kirkwood location at 105 E. Jefferson is closing January 25, ending a large, arcade-equipped restaurant that opened in 2020. Owners say weak holiday sales and a landlord offer to end the lease early pushed the decision, as they refocus on smaller, entertainment-district spots like The Loop and Soulard.

3. Robert Miller (timesnewspapers.com) — Longtime Kirkwood resident Robert Miller, a gifted trombonist turned attorney, has died at age 82 after a long, full life. After building a home in Kirkwood in 1985, he and his wife Janet raised their family here while he performed with major St. Louis musical institutions and later represented injured clients as a lawyer. His family remembers his integrity, creativity, and devotion to his children and grandchildren.

4. Lois Ann (Goldman) Weir-Jungers (timesnewspapers.com) — Kirkwood neighbors are mourning longtime resident Lois Ann (Goldman) Weir-Jungers, who passed away at home on December 24 after living a vibrant, community-focused life. A former educator and Emmy-winning kids marketing director at KPLR-TV, she was known for her warmth, love of family, and deep local ties. A celebration of life is planned for later this year.
