Affinia lands Port Authority grant for residency program (stlamerican.com) — New funding for Affinia Healthcare’s new Family Medicine Residency Program aims to expand primary care access in North St. Louis and St. Louis County, while WIC nutrition services will continue locally through 2026. Several Affinia clinics across the city are listed with hours and addresses, giving families clear options for getting nutrition support, breastfeeding help, and health referrals close to home.

3. South City Catholic Academy to close (kmov.com) — Families in south St. Louis are facing a major change as the Archdiocese plans to close South City Catholic Academy at the end of the 2025–26 school year due to unsustainable costs. The school, supported by St. Lucy Parish and the archdiocese, says it will help staff find new positions and assist families with enrolling at other Catholic elementary schools in the area.
   

4. Man found guilty in targeted St. Louis murder (firstalert4.com) — A St. Louis City jury has convicted 34-year-old Terron Young of first-degree murder and related charges in the 2024 shooting death of Anthony Jefferson on Martin Luther King Drive. Prosecutors and St. Louis police highlighted the case as a major collaborative effort, and Young now faces mandatory life in prison without parole, with sentencing still to be scheduled.
   

5. Anheuser-Busch bringing world-record sign to St. Louis (spectrumlocalnews.com) — Anheuser-Busch plans to bring its record-setting animated flying eagle neon sign from Newark to its hometown of St. Louis, adding another eye-catching landmark for visitors. The massive sign, a larger cousin of the familiar I-64 “Aerie” eagle, holds a Guinness World Record and will be preserved here as a piece of the brewery’s history.
