1. Leader of regional homelessness nonprofit House Everyone STL has stepped down (stlmag.com) — St. Louis’ regional homelessness coordinator, House Everyone STL, is searching for a new executive director after Samantha Stangl’s abrupt December departure, even as winter shelter support continues. Interim leader Mike Sorth says pilot programs for permanent housing and a regional Bridge to Home partnership will move forward. The group aims to streamline federal funding and better coordinate services across St. Louis and surrounding counties.

2. Celebrated St. Louis American photojournalist retires after a 45-plus year career (stlpr.org) — A legendary St. Louis American photojournalist, Wiley Price, has retired after more than 45 years documenting Black St. Louis, from Ferguson protests to neighborhood tornado damage. Colleagues say his images, including a famed shot of Barack Obama in prayer, helped the community see itself beyond stereotypes. His departure closes a chapter in local storytelling but leaves a powerful visual record behind.

3. Legendary goalie who led Blues to Cup Finals in team's first 3 seasons passes away (firstalert4.com) — St. Louis hockey fans are mourning Glenn Hall, the Hall of Fame goalie who backstopped the Blues to three straight Stanley Cup Finals in the team’s first seasons and later coached here. Hall, remembered as “Mr. Goalie” and a Blues Hall of Famer, has died at 94 after a storied career that helped define the franchise’s early identity.

4. St. Louis Bike Park facing trespassers on motorized bikes, tearing up the BMX course (firstalert4.com) — If you or your kids ride at the St. Louis Bike Park along Grant’s Trail, volunteers say trespassing motorized bikes are tearing up the carefully built BMX jumps and threatening their insurance and lease. Organizers, who maintain the south St. Louis County course in their spare time, are considering new gates, barriers, and cameras but say those security upgrades would come out of their own pockets.

5. St. Louis business benefits from film industry growth (firstalert4.com) — A Benton Park West camera rental business is booming thanks to major film projects shot in St. Louis City and nearby areas, boosted by Missouri’s “Show MO” tax credits.
