1. St. Charles City Council set to give update on City Centre Complex (firstalert4.com) — St. Charles is moving ahead with its $85 million City Centre Complex, which will replace city hall and add a senior center, recreation center, and indoor farmers market on the old American Car Foundry site. City leaders will review updated designs and construction progress, with work on the new city hall and garage starting this month and full completion targeted for summer 2027.
   

2. Highway Patrol reports three fatalities over 2025 Thanksgiving Holiday (kirksvilledailyexpress.com) — A Thanksgiving weekend crash on Missouri 79 at Route M in St. Charles County claimed the life of an 11-year-old O’Fallon girl, one of three statewide traffic deaths reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers say 2025’s holiday period saw fewer crashes and fatalities than 2024, but they continue to stress seat belt use and sober driving for local travelers.
   

3. A stretch of I-64 in St. Charles County will soon have 3 lanes (stlpr.org) — If you commute through St. Charles County, a key stretch of I-64 between Route K and Winghaven is gaining a third lane and should open before year’s end, with more widening to I-70 coming by 2028. Expect years of construction, lane shifts, and ramp closures as MoDOT tackles its largest-ever project to ease congestion between Wentzville and Warrenton.
   

4. Children locked up, starved and beaten in meth-filled Missouri house of horrors: cops (nypost.com) — A horrific child abuse case in nearby O’Fallon has landed two parents in St. Charles County Corrections, accused of starving, beating, and neglecting three children in a filthy, meth-filled home. Investigators say the kids were locked away from food, forced to care for themselves, and punished for speaking up, leading to multiple felony child endangerment and drug-trafficking charges.
   

5. Lindenwood defeats Culver-Stockton 110-44 (kens5.com) — Lindenwood fans in St. Charles saw a blowout as the Lions crushed Culver-Stockton 110–44 at home, improving to 6–4 on the season. Anias Futrell led the way with 17 points, backed by efficient scoring from Dontrez Williams and Milos Nenadic in the dominant win.
