Here are the top stories today in Billings:
- The body of a Billings resident was found inside a suitcase on Monday morning. The 48-year-old female victim, Susan LaForge., was discovered inside her on 12th Street West home by her teenage son. Later that day, charges were filed against Terrell Lee Spotted Wolf for "deliberate homicide." An investigation is currently underway. (Q2 News)
- Billings residents will finally see their mail routes and delivery times returning back to normal. Due to severe understaffing, there have recently been delays all across the state. A spokesperson for the United States Post Office says "new measures are now in place to ensure on-time delivery" for communities in the Billings area. (Q2 News)
- MSU and Billings alumnus Jon Laurent has been inducted into the Montana Bioscience Alliance Hall of Fame for his role in Covid-19 research. As the co-founder of Pandemic Response Lab, Laurent's research and platform quickly switched to rapid and accurate testing for the virus. He is reportedly working on launching a new biotech startup.
