Every town has its traditions. Check out these fun facts about what makes Billings so special.

Billings is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Billings has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- Did you know that Billings is home to an accredited museum, a recognition that less than three percent of U.S. museums receive? The Yellowstone Art Museum boasts over 7,300 pieces of art, including works by renowned artists like Charles M. Russell and Joseph Henry Sharp.
- If you're interested in history, you won't want to miss the Moss Mansion. This historic home was built in 1903 by Preston Boyd Moss, a prominent Billings entrepreneur. The mansion is now a museum and offers guided tours, allowing visitors to step back in time and experience life in turn-of-the-century Billings.
- Love the outdoors? Billings has plenty to offer, with over 40 parks and 30 miles of trails for hiking, biking and exploring. Don't miss Pictograph Cave State Park, where you can see ancient pictographs and petroglyphs left by Native American tribes over 2,000 years ago.
- Billings is also a great place to catch a show. The Alberta Bair Theater hosts a variety of performances throughout the year, from Broadway musicals to comedy acts and everything in between. And if you're a music lover, be sure to check out the concerts at ZooMontana, an outdoor amphitheater where you can enjoy live music with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains.
- Did you know that Billings is home to the only walkable brewery district in Montana? The area known as the "Brew Trail" features several breweries within walking distance, each with its unique selection of craft beers and lively atmospheres.
