- Gallatin Valley Mall, a long-standing anchor in the community, celebrated its 43rd anniversary and emphasized the importance of evolution and transformation for success. With a $50 million remodel and a name change to Gallatin Crossing, the mall is introducing new stores, including a J.Crew factory outlet and the recently opened Whole Foods. Despite predictions of declining malls nationwide, the owner of Gallatin Valley Mall assures that it will not be closing and is committed to evolving and meeting the community's needs. - An outage in Bozeman left approximately 369 customers without power on Friday afternoon, caused by a downed power line. Responding crews discovered the downed line and worked to restore power. Although the exact cause of the incident was not disclosed by NorthWestern Energy, power was fully restored to all customers by 5:00 p.m., according to their outage map. (Montana Right Now)
- Bozeman Public Schools faced budget challenges and ran safety levies to avoid cutting programs, such as gifted and talented and the Bozeman Charter School. The levies passed, but the future of the charter school remains uncertain due to low enrollment numbers. The charter school offers personalized learning, flexible schedules, and hands-on experiences, serving students with various needs and learning styles.
