Man arrested after shipping meth, marijuana to Lincoln home, police say (wowt.com) — Police arrested a man at a Lincoln home near North 24th and Holdrege after investigators intercepted a package containing large amounts of meth and marijuana at a local shipping facility. Officers used an undercover delivery to make the arrest, then searched the residence with consent. The suspect now faces multiple felony drug charges and a high bond, with a court hearing set for January.
   

2. Woman accused of taking baby from car seat, placing in driver's lap in Lincoln (wowt.com) — Lincoln police arrested a 43-year-old woman after a video allegedly showed a 6‑month‑old riding on a driver’s lap instead of in a car seat. Investigators say the incident happened in a moving SUV and surfaced through a Crime Stoppers tip. The woman faces an intentional child abuse charge and is due back in court January 21.

He’s now out on bond under strict conditions at Bryan West Medical Center, including GPS monitoring, no unauthorized visitors, and a February 4 sentencing date.
   

4. Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers announces joint lawsuit against Uber (klkntv.com) — Nebraska’s attorney general, speaking from Lincoln, has joined a multistate lawsuit accusing Uber of misleading consumers about its Uber One subscription and making cancellations difficult. The case, now combined with a Federal Trade Commission suit, seeks restitution and penalties for affected users. Lincoln and Nebraska residents who use Uber One could see direct impacts if the claims are proven.
   

5. Lincoln Lutheran head volleyball coach Sue Ziegler announces retirement (klkntv.com) — Lincoln Lutheran’s longtime head volleyball coach, Sue Ziegler, is retiring after a 28-year run that brought six state championships and more than 600 wins to the Lincoln program. The Nebraska High School Hall of Famer and 2021 AVCA National Coach of the Year leaves behind a nationally respected team, and the school is launching an immediate search for her replacement.
