Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:
- New data provided by FlightAware indicates the Harry Reid International Airport had some of the worst flight delays this summer. According to the data, the airport had 31 percent of its flights delayed. The airport with the most delays was Chicago Midway International Airport with 37.7 percent. The Harry Reid International Airport was not included on the list of airports with the most flight cancellations. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has arrested Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles, 45, for the stabbing of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. The reporter was found dead outside of his home on Saturday morning. Early investigations indicate the possible motive is German's investigative reporting work that led to Telles' election loss in June. (Las Vegas Patch)
- The Signs of HOPE center has sent out an urgent call for volunteers to support survivors of sexual assault. The center will be hosting its "Advocate University" to train volunteers. This is the first time since the start of the pandemic that the center has hosted the training. The 50-hour course begins Sep. 20. Click here to apply. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
