Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. The Las Vegas Strip will be hosting a championship parade for the Las Vegas Aces. The parade will be held today, Sep. 20, at 5:30 p.m. This will be the city's first-ever major-league sports championship. The parade will start at Caesars Palace and end at the Bellagio Fountains. The event is free and everyone is invited to attend! (Fox 5 Vegas)
  2. The Las Vegas Book Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The festival will be held at the Historic Fifth Street School on S. Fourth Street. There will be four authors headlining the event. The festival is free and intended for all ages. (News3LV)
  3. The Clark County School District is partnering with Cityneon to offer students the opportunity to display art at The Hunger Games art exhibit. The theme for the contest is "Stand with the Mockingjay.” The display will be at the MGM Grand throughout the rest of the year. Winners will receive $1,000 and various other perks. (News3LV)
