Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. A 6-year-old boy was killed on Saturday near Karen and Sahara Avenues during a hit-and-run accident. The child was riding his bike when a Ford U-Haul box truck struck him. The driver was located and arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The incident is still under investigation. (News3LV)
  2. The Harry Reid International Airport was in a panic on Sunday morning due to a false active shooter report. The airport's terminal was shut down and cleared in response to the incident. Flights were also grounded. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. (Casino.Org News)
  3. Las Vegas casino boards fall short on diversity. While the top six gaming companies operating in Las Vegas have been attempting to increase diversity, only six of the 53 directors are people of color; 70 percent are white men. The board's diversity does not match the diversity percentage of Clark County. (Las Vegas Sun)
