  1. Las Vegas' Critical Care Comics charity is offering a scholarship for high school seniors battling cancer. The scholarship is also offered to students who have battled cancer in the past. The scholarships will be awarded to three students. There will be a $30,000, $15,000, and $5,000 scholarship. To qualify, a student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Click here to apply. (News3LV)
  2. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports a car struck and killed a pedestrian on Friday morning. The incident occurred near Washington and Main around 1:53 a.m. The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene of the incident. The department is currently conducting an investigation into the hit-and-run crash. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. Jeff German, the murdered Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter, will be inducted into the Nevada Newspaper Hall of Fame. The announcement was made by the Nevada Press Association on Friday morning. The 69-year-old reporter was allegedly killed by Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles. (Review Journal)
