Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. The Just One Project is hosting a grocery giveaway this Saturday. The distribution is free and will occur at Orr Middle School starting at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the distribution. There are no requirements to receive the free groceries. Don't forget to bring a cart or a car to carry the groceries. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  2. More than 635,000 meals were given to individuals in need during Las Vegas Restaurant Week. About 364,000 individuals were provided with meals. Over 200 restaurants participated in the program. Since its implementation in 2007, the program has provided over 5.5 million meals. (News3LV)
  3. The City of Las Vegas has been given $23.9 million for downtown improvements. The funds are through the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The improvements are centered around Stewart Avenue and are meant to increase public safety and accessibility through the downtown area. (KNPR)
