Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. There will be a hiring fair on Thursday, Sep. 22, in the valet area of the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. The fair is being hosted by the Circa Hospitality Group to fill positions at several Las Vegas locations. The fair will be between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with another session from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Click for a list of departments attending the hiring fair. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  2. Las Vegas is still below the average yearly rainfall total. The area has had a lot of monsoon season moisture, but the official National Weather Service rain gauge has not recorded a majority of it. The recording failure is due to the moisture not hitting the gauge's location at the Harry Reid International Airport. Moving the gauge is not an option, according to the National Weather Service's chief meteorologist. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. North Las Vegas is the proposed site for a new 275,000-square-foot data center. The center would cost $400 million to build. Novva Data Centers expects to open the facility in late 2023. The facility will be constructed with sustainability measures in place. (News3LV)
