Las Vegas Shooting: Where To Donate Blood, Fundraiser For Victims, Information For Families
Authorities in Las Vegas are sharing information on where to donate blood and what number family members can call to ask for information.

LAS VEGAS, NV — Following the mass shooting at a country music concert in Las Vegas Sunday night that left at least 58 people dead and injured over 500, people have been rushing to local blood banks to help the victims of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
Authorities have been informing people how to help the victims and for those concerned about their loved ones, there is a number families can call to ask about the victims. People from all walks of life, including elected officials, country music stars, celebrities, have spoken out expressing their condolences for the victims and their families and describing their outrage at the act of violence. President Trump addressed the shooting just before 11 p.m. eastern time on Monday. Trump called for unity and said he would be visiting the city on Wednesday to meet with first responders, local law enforcement and families.

- For families and friends of loved ones seeking information, they can call this number provided by authorities: 1-800-536-9488. The previous hotline went down and authorities have since replaced it with the 1-800 number.
- The family reunification center is located at the Las Vegas Police Department headquarters at 400 S. MLK Boulevard, Building B
- Crisis counseling is available for guests and employees of the Mandalay Bay resort. Those in need of counseling can call 702-836-6655 or 877-967-7711. The resort says they are working to set up locations at all MGM resorts and properties and are in need of crisis counselors but said they have enough counselors for the day.
- A GoFundMe donation page has been established for victims of the shooting.
- Facebook safety check has been activated and those in the affected area who are safe can mark themselves as so.
- Photos and videos can be shared with the FBI by calling 1-800-255-5324.
- Blood donations can be made at United Blood Services located at 6930 W Charleston or 601 Whitney Ranch Drive in Henderson, Nevada. The city is advising people to make an appointment if they choose to donate blood because there are reports of long wait lines.
- United Blood Services says the immediate needs are for O-negative, O-positive and platelet donations. Donors of all type will be needed to replenish blood supply and all donations are currently on a walk-in basis.
- The blood banks says it's important donations are given on an ongoing basis as blood has a shelf life. So donors are encouraged to make appointments to give blood throughout the coming days or weeks.
- Another blood donation location is 4950 W. Craig Road in Las Vegas. The blood banks says the location will open soon.
