Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:
- The North Las Vegas Police Department reports that officers fatally shot an armed individual wearing a Halloween mask. The incident occurred near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue on Monday night. The officer's body camera footage has not been released by the department. The officer has been placed on paid administrative leave. (Las Vegas Sun)
- The Clark County Education Association released a statement on Tuesday regarding the state's gubernatorial election. The Association will not be making an endorsement in the race. In 2018, the Association endorsed Democrat Steve Sisolak. Instead of an endorsement, the Association encouraged voters to "vote what you know." (News3LV)
- Travelers at Harry Reid International Airport are experiencing delays due to the shuttle service between the rental car area. On Monday, the rental car drop-off line wrapped all the way around the building. The delays are reportedly due to staffing shortages. Travelers are encouraged to return rentals three hours before a scheduled flight to avoid issues. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
