- The Seven Oh Brew Oktoberfest will be in Las Vegas from Thursday, Sep. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 2. The event promises an authentic German celebration featuring huge crowds, lots of ale, and chicken dance competitions. There will also be a feast that includes German beer and brats. It will be held at the Orleans Arena Festival Grounds. (KPNR)
- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to six overdose deaths in just 36 hours on Sunday and Monday. According to the department, at least four of the deaths were related to the synthetic opioid, Fentanyl. The Biden Administration will be providing $1.5 billion to all U.S. states to combat the opioid crisis. (Fox 5 Vegas)
- NV Energy customers have announced an increase in monthly bills. Las Vegas customers can expect the increase to impact monthly bills starting on Oct. 1. The energy company reports that the bill increases are necessary due to rising costs of natural gas. The increase varies based on the size of the home. A single-family home will likely see an increase of about ten dollars each month. (KTNV.com)
