Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:
- The contract for Clark County School District's Superintendent Jesus Jara has been extended through 2026. The district's Board of Trustees narrowly approved of the extension through a 4-3 vote. The vote also approved a $75,000 salary increase for Superintendent Jara. (News3LV)
- District Court Judge David Jones has ruled that Clark County public administrator Robert Telles can be removed from his job. Telles has been accused of killing Las Vegas reporter Jeff German. According to investigators, German was stabbed by Telles outside his home on Sept. 2. Prosecutors stated German’s investigative reporting was a likely contributing factor in Telles' loss in the Democratic primary election. (Elko Daily Free Press)
- Paw Patrol Live! is coming to Las Vegas. The show announced its performance on Wednesday. The show will be titled "The Great Pirate Adventure" and will be performed from Thursday, Feb. 9 through Saturday, Feb. 11. next year. Tickets start at $30. Click to reserve your tickets. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
