Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:
- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that a teen bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred on Monday morning near South Cimarron Road and West Rochelle Avenue. The driver of the 2017 Ford Escape remained at the scene and did not display signs of impairment. The teen was transported to University Medical Center Trauma for treatment. (Fox 5 Vegas)
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has announced plans to build another temple in the Las Vegas Valley. The temple proposal is part of an 18-facility expansion project. The initial proposal has the temple being constructed near Lone Mountain. The current temple is at 827 Temple View Drive. (Fox 5 Vegas)
- A suspect has been arrested in the case of a body that was found in a vehicle's trunk in Las Vegas. The body was discovered after an individual reported a "foul odor" emitting from a parked BMW. A 37-year-old male suspect was arrested on Sept. 29 in California's San Diego County. (Charlotte Observer)
