Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday morning. The department responded to the 3900 block of Algonquin Drive after a call was placed about an unresponsive woman on a sidewalk. The woman had stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. A suspect has not been identified yet. (News 3)
  2. The City of Las Vegas is considering a proposal for tiny homes. The proposed affordable housing community would support lower-income individuals and seniors living in the Las Vegas area. The 276-unit community would be built at the corner of Rome and Decatur Road. The City Council will consider the proposal during its meeting on Oct. 19. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. Governor Steve Sisolak has declared Sep. 20 to be "Las Vegas Aces Day" to honor the team's championship win. The team beat the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA Finals during Game 4. This is the team's first championship. A parade was held on the Las Vegas Strip yesterday to celebrate. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
