  1. Actor Jeremy Renner suffered a traumatic injury related to a snow removal machine accident in the nearby Tahoe area over the weekend. Renner, best known for playing Hawkeye in Marvel movies, reportedly underwent surgery for his injuries and is in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition. (KRNV)
  2. Leon Lewis has been taking care of the Downtown Reno Library's vast collection of plants for the past 20 years. Lewis talked about his routine in caring for plants and what led him to work with plants at the library. (KUNR Public Radio)
  3. January is the lowest blood donation period out of the year — it's also National Blood Donor Month. To help alleviate the need for blood at hospitals, the 37th annual All Reno Radio Blood Drive will take place on Jan. 4 and 5 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The nonprofit blood services provider Vitalant said it needs at least 350 blood donations over the two days to replenish the blood supply. (2 News)
