- The Reno City Council has introduced three new members since September. Kathleen Taylor, Miguel Martinez, and Meghan Ebert have joined the council to represent Wards 5, 3, and 4 respectively. While Naomi Duerr's Ward 2 seat was also up for reelection during the General Election on Nov. 8, the candidate retained her seat by nearly 3,000 votes. (KRNV)
- Looking for something fun to do in Reno this week? Shock Illusionist Dan Sperry will perform at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts this Saturday, Nov. 19, and the Reno Wine Walk returns to the Riverwalk downtown that same afternoon. - This month's featured film for the Sierra Arts Foundation’s Sip and Screen event will be The Menu — a new thriller starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes, and Nicholas Hoult. The private screening will take place this Friday, Nov. 18, at 6:00 p.m. and include a lavish cocktail party featuring oysters, caviar, and other treats.
