- On Wednesday, Reno city officials will determine whether or not to issue a $250,000 legal settlement in the case of a non-lethal shooting of a legal observer at a Black Lives Matter protest. The decision is part of a lawsuit brought on by Rebecca Gasca, who was present at a 2020 protest in a blue vest that said "ACLU Legal Observer" when Reno police shot her with non-lethal pepper balls. The city's attorney's office recommends that the city council approve the settlement. (KOLO)
- Washoe County School District Superintendent Dr. Susan Enfield delivered her first State of Education address during a Marce Herz Middle School event last Thursday night. Dr. Enfield discussed various topics, including staffing shortages, funding, and this year's focus on mental health. (Fox 11 Reno)
- The Reno-Tahoe International Airport was without power on Sunday morning. Airport staff could still remotely check in passengers while waiting for the power to return, and planes could still arrive and leave.
