See photos taken inside former Jones West Ford dealership in Reno (rgj.com) — A long-vacant Jones West Ford building on Kietzke Lane in Reno is slated for demolition to clear space for a new soccer project. Recent photos capture the inside of the former dealership as the property transitions toward its next community use.
   

2. RTC Hosts Public Information Meeting on Northeast Connector Study (kolotv.com) — Heavy traffic between Spanish Springs, Reno, and the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center has prompted RTC Washoe to study a new northeast connector roadway, and hundreds of residents just attended a public meeting to hear the options. The study highlights congestion relief but also raises concerns about neighborhood impacts, tribal lands, and wildlife, with no construction funding secured yet and public comments still encouraged online.
   

3. Reno Fire to honor late firefighter with annual Saibini food basket tradition (2news.com) — Reno firefighters are continuing a 90-year tradition of assembling and delivering holiday food baskets to local families in need, funded by RFD members, businesses, and community donations. This year’s effort is dedicated to retired Reno firefighter Jana Maas, who devoted years to growing the Saibini program and ensuring each basket brought dignity and joy.
   

4. 2 people survive small plane crash near Silver Springs airport in Lyon County (foxreno.com) — Two people are being transported to a Reno hospital after surviving a small plane crash near the Silver Springs airport off Highway 50 in rural Lyon County. Authorities say the Mooney aircraft went down late Wednesday morning, and federal investigators from the NTSB and FAA are now handling the case. Residents are being asked to avoid the crash area until further notice.
