  1. The City of Reno's Business License team is seeking public input on the potential legalization and regulation of cannabis consumption lounges. The team will host two public meetings in the Council Chamber of Reno City Hall, which are currently scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 1, at 3:00 p.m. City residents can also choose to participate virtually via Zoom.   2. A Reno woman has claimed third place in a national "Fab Over 40" competition. Khalilah Cage represented the state of Nevada in the competition, which raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Cage says she entered the competition to honor her grandmother, a survivor of breast cancer. (FoxReno.com)
  3. A battery recycling company based in Reno has been awarded a $9.99 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The American Battery Technology Co. received the funds through a bipartisan infrastructure law that aims to advance electric vehicle battery manufacturing and recycling in the state. Through the same initiative, Nevada companies have also received more than $107 million in grants to support the sustainable critical mineral supply chain. (Nevada Appeal)
