- The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is seeking the public's help to identify a woman who died in Reno earlier this month. Officials say she was found unresponsive near the Virginia Street Bridge on Nov. 11 and is believed to have been homeless. Anyone who recognizes the woman pictured at the link is asked to call 775-785-6114 and reference case number 2022-05305. (KOLO)
- The annual Fall Dance Festival returned to the University of Nevada, Reno last week. The showcase at the Lombardi Dance Theatre featured performances from 11 student choreographers and 26 student dancers. This year's festival included five evening-length productions between Nov. 16 and Nov. 20 and was completely sold out. (Nevada Today)
- A yellow burn code was issued by the Washoe County Health District on Monday. While the burn code is in effect, residents are advised to avoid the use of wood-burning devices for at least 24 hours while pollution in the area decreases. Houses where a wood-burning device is the primary source of heat can receive an exemption through the Air Quality Management Division by calling 775-784-7200. (KOLO)
