- Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo declared a propane delivery emergency in the state over the weekend. Delays from winter weather have decreased the supply of propane in the state. The emergency suspends the limit on how long transport and delivery drivers can be on the road to help increase propane deliveries until Jan. 21. (Subscription: Reno Gazette-Journal)
- Incoming severe weather has increased the risk of floods in the region. Low-lying homes and businesses are encouraged to prepare. Residents of Washoe County can pick up sandbags at the Truckee Meadows Fire Stations in Lemmon Valley, East Washoe Valley, and West Washoe Valley. (KOLO)
- Minor League Baseball team Reno Aces promoted Chris Philips to become the franchise's newest general manager. Philips was hired at the end of 2021 to be the chief operating officer for the Aces and will continue his current position as chief operating officer in addition to general manager. The Reno Aces will open the 2023 season against the Las Vegas Aviators on Mar. 31. (MyNews4)
