  1. The Reno Chamber Orchestra is kicking off the new year with its annual winter holiday concert series. The Nevada Chamber Music Festival runs from Dec. 28 through Jan. 1, with daily performances at the Hall Recital Hall. Visit the link to view the full schedule of holiday events. (KOLO)
  2. Mendive Middle School was evacuated Wednesday morning while police investigated reports of a threat at the school. As of Wednesday afternoon, the Washoe County School District had not released an update on the credibility of the threat or the status of the investigation. (KOLO)
  3. More than 15,000 passengers are expected to pass through the Reno-Tahoe International Airport over the next two weekends as holiday travel spikes. The busiest days are expected to be Dec. 23, Dec. 26, Dec. 30, and Jan. 2. Travelers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure and allow additional time for parking and rental car returns. (KRNV)
