Here are the top three stories today in Reno:
- Kaia FIT Sierra’s midtown location is finally opening again! The midtown gym has been closed since August due to the damage from the floods. In celebration of the reopening, Kaia FIT will be hosting a free event on Feb. 11 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. that includes a black light yoga workout. (KOLO)
- Former Reno City Council Member Neoma Jardon is facing an ethics violation. Next week, Jardon is scheduled to settle an ethics violation with the Nevada State Ethics Commission. The source of the violation stems from Jardon's immediate hire without a search to head the Downtown Reno Partnership. She is agreeing to pay a penalty of $3,000. (This Is Reno)
- A car crash off Mira Loma Drive left two hospitalized. Around 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, fire and rescue crews responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near Longley Lane and Mira Loma Drive. According to Reno Police, the Corvette involved in the crash was traveling southbound when it hit a tree. One person was ejected and the other was trapped inside the car. As of Wednesday, both victims were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries and conditions. (KRNV)
