Kids Free Fishing Day Set for June 8th at Sparks Marina
Sparks Rotary Clubs Prepare to Welcome 1,000+ Children & Families
June 8, 2024 – General Public Youth Event
We’re Going Fishing!
Local Rotarians are busy preparing for the 20th year of Kids Free Fishing Day scheduled for June 8th at the Sparks Marina. Over 1,000 fishing poles are strung and ready for fishing. Rotarians at the Rotary Club of Sparks and the Rotary Club of Sparks Centennial Sunrise have lent their helping hands to ensure local youth will have fishing poles. Better yet, Nevada Department of Wildlife will net and stock the lake so that every kid has a great chance of catching a beautiful fish!

This event is made possible by the Rotary Clubs of Sparks in partnership with the City of Sparks and the Nevada Department of Wildlife. The fishing day is free for all kids 17 years old and younger. All youth must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. The registration is on Saturday June 8th at the Sparks Marina south side. Youth registered for this event may fish at this location without a fishing license.
Fishing poles and bait are provided, while supplies last. Last year, we supplied fishing poles to 1,200 kids. We recommend an early arrival as this is a popular event!
