  1. A 29-year-old man was charged with open murder for shooting and killing his roommate in Sun Valley on Saturday. Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the incident on the 4600 block of E. Leonesio Drive, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Billy Orth shot his roommate, but no motive was released. (KRNV)
  2. A Reno nonprofit is in need of diaper donations. The Women and Children’s Center of the Sierra is asking the community to donate diapers to the organization, which distributes 11,000 diapers per month (up from its initial 5,000 per month distribution). "Diapers are an easy but important way we help mothers and families move forward. Without diapers, they can’t take their kids to daycare and go to work, and our program helps provide some relief," Executive Director Pam Russell said. (Subscription: This Is Reno)
  3. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help solving a residential burglary case. On Feb. 6, an unidentified woman approached a residence on Lightning W. Road in the Reno area and knocked on the door. She left without reply but later returned and removed the Ring-style camera from the front door. The homeowner told deputies the residence was burgled and reported significant loss. (KOLO)
