- A man was arrested in connection to two Joy Lake Fires in Reno earlier in the year. Matthew Kimmens was charged with four counts of first-degree arson, third-degree arson, fourth-degree arson, and four counts of destruction of property worth at least $5,000. (Subscription: Reno Gazette Journal)
- Foot Locker opened a $40 million distribution center in Reno, creating 200 jobs in the area. The distribution center is 465,000 square feet and is expected to generate $14 million in tax revenue over 10 years. (Subscription: Reno Gazette Journal)
- A reward of $750 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of people responsible for stealing statues from Rancho San Rafael Park. Two sheep statues were stolen and are worth $2,000. (KKOH)
- A train accident near downtown Reno is under investigation. It occurred on Thanksgiving morning, and a photographer reported seeing a body being removed from the scene. No information regarding injuries or further details about the accident have been released as of Friday evening. (KOLO)
