  1. An Indiana murder suspect was arrested at a downtown bus station. Tayshawn Newman, 21, was wanted for a murder which occurred in April 2020. He allegedly shot someone who complained about the quality of the marijuana Newman sold and wanted a refund. (KOLO)
  2. Mark Lawson, the former Sparks fire chief, was charged with possession of between 14 and 28 grams of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell a controlled substance with a gang enhancement. According to authorities, the community was shocked to find out Lawson received drug charges. (subscription: Reno Gazette Journal)
  3. A cyclist was hit and killed while in the bike lane in Sparks over the weekend. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. The male was unresponsive when police arrived. (KRNV)
