  1. The Governor of Nevada has declared the delivery delays of propane to be an emergency. Governor Lombardo issued the emergency after widespread delays caused a dramatic drop in Nevada's propane supply. The ongoing severe winter weather is exacerbating these issues. Lombardo has announced a temporary suspension of motor carrier regulations in the hopes that it will reduce delays. (Tahoe Daily Tribune)
  2. The Sheep Show is coming to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center from Jan. 12 to 14. This event is a mountain game hunting and expo, considered by some to be the premier such expo in the world. There will be more than 400 exhibits featuring guides and outfitters. You can also purchase guns, art, taxidermy, furs, and assorted outdoor items. (Visit Reno Tahoe)
  3. The Bureau of Land Management will hold a public scoping meeting in Reno on Jan. 19. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit feedback on potential updates to the 2012 Western Solar Plan, including expansion to five other states. Those who wish to provide comments can head to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center between 3 and 7 p.m. (2 News)
