- The Reno-Tahoe Airport has been a mess since last week, when vicious winter weather led to thousands of flight cancellations across the country. Nearly 3,000 flights have been canceled by Southwest Airlines, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. Some Southwest passengers have been camped out at the airport for days, waiting for a flight that will take them home. (FoxReno.com)
- Pets from the Nevada Humane Society had a very merry Christmas. Thanks to Santa Claus' assistance, roughly 65 animals found their forever homes in Carson and Reno. Mr. Claus and the Humane Society team delivered pets on Christmas morning, giving these animals the gift of a lifetime. 38 cats, 19 dogs, and six small animals were adopted between the two shelters.
