Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- On Saturday a suspect was arrested by the Nevada State Police for an incident that occurred involving an officer near the Reno airport. Around 10:00 p.m. officers responded to a call involving a reckless driver near Interstate 580 and the Mount Rose Highway, when officers found the described vehicle near Veteran's Parkway and attempted to approach the driver's side of the car the driver took off. No information has been released about the shooting or what caused it and the suspect is being held at the Washoe County Detention Center. (KOLO)
- This past Saturday a pedestrian was struck and killed in downtown Reno near the corner of Sout Virginia Street and California Avenue. This incident happened around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and it was reported that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when struck. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. If you or anyone has any information regarding the incident call the police at 775-334-2677. (KOLO)
- This past week the American Truck History Society hosted the National Convention & Truck Show at the Grand Sierra Resort Hotel and Casino. The convention began on Thursday and ended on Saturday, showcasing hundreds of historic trucks of all shapes and sizes. In addition to the showcasing of these great vehicles, guests were also entertained with education courses, fun activities for kids, and even a light show. The American Truck History Society was first established back in 1971 as a way to preserve truck history and its pioneers. (KTVN)

- The month of June is National Adopt A Shelter Cat Month and the Nevada Humane Society has a great selection to choose from at the Reno Shelter. - Reno firefighters were invited to participate in the Echo Loder Elementary School Field Day this past week. E-21 enjoyed a fun-filled day of playing with the kids and connecting with the staff. (Reno Firefighters Association via Facebook)
- The Reno Police Department is inviting the community to join the annual Juneteenth Dominoes Tournament that will be held at Idle Wild Park in Reno. Registration for the tournament begins at 12:30 p.m and the tournament will begin at 1:30 p.m. (Reno Police Department via Facebook)
