  1. The Northern Nevada Confederate of Clubs will host the 42nd annual Reno Toy Run this year on Dec. 4. Proceeds from the fundraiser event will be distributed to local charities including Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, Children’s Cabinet, and Eagle Valley Children’s Home. Tickets to participate in the parade cost $25 and include a free t-shirt and meal. (KOLO)
  2. Reno area residents with an approved burn permit will be allowed to resume open burning, also known as pile burning, next month. Burning will be allowed between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31, weather permitting. Residents must live within the boundaries of the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District to be eligible. (This Is Reno)
  3. The City of Reno is seeking public input on a proposal to legalize cannabis consumption lounges. Open meetings will be held at Reno City Hall and virtually this Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 1, at 3:00 p.m. Reno residents can also provide public input by completing an online survey.
