- RTC will be offering free rides on New Year's Eve beginning at 6:00 p.m. With the goal to make it a safer night for people going to and from celebrations, the rides will run until 2:00 a.m. on New Year's Day. If you are planning to take advantage of the free rides, make sure you check the schedule ahead of time. (FoxReno.com)
- Winter Storm Elliot caused about 5,000 flights to be canceled or delayed – impacting the Reno-Tahoe International Airport flights severely. Airport officials remind travelers to allow for extra time and to be patient with staff as they try to navigate the many changed flights. If you are traveling today, it may be a good idea to check the status of your flight here. (KRNV)
- A Washoe County Deputy was struck by a suspected drunk driver early Monday morning. The deputy was standing beside his patrol car, with lights flashing as he has just pulled over another vehicle, when he and his patrol vehicle were hit on North Virginia Street. The deputy was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries and the driver was arrested. (KTVN 2 News)
