Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

  1. A Reno man was found guilty in a domestic battery case that injured a woman. The 49-year-old man was charged with domestic battery with substantial bodily harm against a 60-year-old woman. The woman suffered from a bleeding wound to the head and strangulation. (KRNV)
  2. A key-carrying burglar broke into three local small businesses and one nonprofit, stealing all the cash from the registers and all technology. According to shop owners, after reviewing security tapes, the thief picked through a collection of keys and unlocked the door. None of the shop owners know who the thief is or how he got the key, but they urge others to keep vigilant. Anyone with information on the burglar's identity is asked to contact the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness. (KOLO)
  3. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is offering Saturday dates for Kids Cafe summer meals. Kids Cafe is a program that offers free meals daily to kids ages 2-18 during the summer months, including Saturdays. Free meals are available at more than 40 locations in the Reno/Sparks area. (KTVN)
