Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest in a casino shooting. Secret Witness is looking for details on the June shooting at Atlantis casino that left one man dead. Although officials released a photo of the suspect back in September, there are still no arrests in the case. Anyone who can help should reach out to Secret Witness. (KRNV)
- Two popular Reno chains have closed locations in the city this week, and one of them won't be returning. Long John Silver's on Kietzke Lane has permanently closed its doors. The Boston Market, also located on Kietzke Lane, will reopen its doors in order to take advantage of the Thanksgiving season. There has been no statement from either franchise regarding the closures. (Reno Gazette Journal)
- A teenage girl was attacked by a mountain lion in south Reno last week. The 14-year-old girl was walking her dog on Terry Way when the animal attacked. Both the girl and her dog escaped relatively unharmed, although the girl did suffer some scratch wounds. The mountain lion was tracked by officials, who caught and euthanized the animal. (KOLO)
