59-Year-Old Man Dies After Medical Emergency On North Conway Trail

NORTH CONWAY - New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified that a 59-year-old hiker was having a medical emergency near the summit of Black Cap on Sunday.

Despite family members performing life-saving measures but unfortunately, he passed away at about 7:00 p.m.

Conservation Officers members, North Conway Fire and Rescue, and Action Ambulance responded to the scene.

Rescuers located the group just over one mile from the trailhead and the man was carried out. Rescuers arrived back at the trailhead shortly after 9:30 PM and the man was transported from the scene by Furber and White Funeral Services.

No further information is available at this time and the man’s name is being withheld pending family notifications according to New Hampshire Fish and Game
