Merrimack Man Injured In ATV Crash Trying To Avoid Coos County Sheriff
Daniel Wilson was seriously injured according to Conservation Officers who say speed appears to be a factor in the Cambridge, NH crash

CAMBRIDGE, NH - A Merrimack man was seriously injured in an ATV accident Monday in Cambridge, NH after trying to avoid a collision with Coos County Deputy Sheriffs.
Daniel Wilson, 23 of Merrimack, was riding his ATV when he failed to avoid a collision with another rider in his group according to Conservation Officer Sergeant Glen Lucas
Coos County Deputy Sheriffs were patrolling Bog Brook Trail when they initiated two stops for immediately apparent violations. While verbally addressing the stopped OHRVs, a third OHRV, operated by Wilson approached and attempted to avoid collision with the stopped vehicles and Deputy Sheriffs.

While attempting to stop, Wilson locked up his brakes and went over the handlebars with the ATV subsequently rolling on top of him. Wilson sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
Conservation Officers, Errol Rescue, and Errol Fire Department responded to the scene. Wilson was transported from the scene to Androscoggin Valley Hospital. Dartmouth Hitchcock Helicopter (DHART) did respond to Milan airport but did not transport Wilson.

Conservation Officers investigated the scene and spoke to Wilson. Speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash.
