Missing Murdered Maine Man's Remains Found In Tiny New Hampshire Town
The remains of Alex Jackson of Windham, Maine, were found in Stark on Friday, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella.
STARK, NH — Remains of missing Maine man were found Friday murdered in Stark, N.H., according to a news release from Attorney General John Formella.
The cause and manner of the man’s death are not being released, but the remains have been identified as Alex Jackson, 34, of Windham, Maine. Jackson went missing on approximately May 14, 2023.

Joseph Chute, 30, a farmer in Leeds, Maine, is currently charged with causing Jackson’s death in Maine before the Androscoggin County Superior Court.
On Friday, April 19, the New Hampshire State Police and New Hampshire Fish and Game, with assistance from the Maine State Police, the Windham, Maine Police Department, and Maine Warden Service, conducted a search in an area of Stark, New Hampshire.

During this search, human remains were located and transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Concord. An autopsy was conducted by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell L. Weinberg.
The Maine Attorney General’s Homicide Unit is prosecuting Chute for Jackson’s death.
