Ossipee Man Faces Murder Charges In The Beating Deaths Of His Girlfriend And Her Fetus

CONCORD – Attorney General John M. Formella, State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Ossipee Police Chief Donald Babbin announce that William Kelly (age 38) has been indicted by the Carroll County Grand Jury in connection with the deaths of Christine Falzone and her unborn child.

Mr. Kelly was indicted on one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Ms. Falzone under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by means of multiple blunt force injuries.

Mr. Kelly was also indicted on one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Ms. Falzone’s fetus, gestationally aged 20 weeks or more, under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by means of multiple blunt force injuries causing Ms. Falzone’s death. As previously noted, after conducting an autopsy on December 18, 2023, Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg determined that Ms. Falzone was approximately 35-37 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.

Mr. Kelly continues to be held without bail. Mr. Kelly is expected to be arraigned on March 18, 2024, in the Carroll County Superior Court at 9:00 a.m.

The charges and allegations against Mr. Kelly are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
