Rick Dassatti - SCORE Granite Region

Rick Dassatti brings a positive attitude to his work at SCORE and is a true champion for small businesses seeking financing to start or grow their business. Rick has earned the reputation of being helpful, diligent, and customer-centric with clients and fellow SCORE mentors alike. He has become a sought-after mentor for SCORE clients in need of assistance developing a solid plan before they seek financing and business loans. Since joining SCORE in June 2013, Rick has demonstrated a dedicated commitment to the organization and to empowering entrepreneurs with knowledge and financial expertise of their own small businesses.

Rick currently serves as the Co-Chair of SCORE Granite Region and Assistant District Director for NH and VT. This chapter serves New Hampshire (except for the Seacoast) and much of Vermont. He played a key role in establishing a committee within the chapter that is focused on the practices of the banking industry, which led to the standardization of an improved loan proposal template for clients and banking partners. This initiative strengthens SCORE’s reputation as a trusted resource for financial mentorship.

Rick was nominated by his colleague Heather Turner, SCORE Granite Region Co-Chair. In her nomination letter, Heather recognized Rick’s dedication and hard work on behalf of NH’s small businesses and his contributions helping over 150 clients with over 535 mentoring hours, not including the dozens of additional clients he has helped through co-mentoring and the hundreds of additional hours he has put in leading and managing the chapter. She explained that lending partners frequently refer clients to Rick when they are seeking startup or expansion funding. Many clients often lack a complete understanding of the requirements lenders must adhere to. Rick’s outstanding skills assisting these clients with preparing a well-thought-out financial proposal positions them to move forward with confidence, seeking to secure the funding they need.
