When Will NH Beaches Open For 2024 Summer Season?

Here is a complete list of the days and times beaches will be open this summer —​ and when they will close for the season.

NEW HAMPSHIRE — Are you wondering when exactly you'll be able to have your first beach day here in New Hampshire? At most beaches in the state, fun in the sun is right around the corner.

Most state beaches will be open every day beginning June 1, according to Visit New Hampshire.

Here is a complete list of the days and times beaches will be open this summer — and when they will close for the season.

Wallis Sands

June 1 through September 7th

10 am to 5 pm daily

Jenness

June 1 through Mid-August

10:15 am. to 4:45 pm, daily

Hampton

June 1 through through Seafood Festival, September 13

9 am to 5:30 pm daily

North Beach*

June 1 through Mid-August

10 am to 5 pm daily

North Hampton*

June 1 through Mid-August

10:15 am to 4:45 pm daily

*Due to the early return to school by a large percentage of lifeguard staff the end dates at North Beach and North Hampton and Jenness most likely will be in mid to late August.

If you would like to bring your four-legged friend to enjoy the sand and surf, keep in mind the following dates that pets are — and aren't — allowed to join the fun at New Hampshire state beaches.

Pets allowed: November 1 - April 30

Jenness

Pets NOT allowed: May 1 - October 31

Pets allowed: November 1 - April 30

Hampton

Pets NOT allowed: May 1 - October 31

Day-use parking reservations are now available for Wallis Sands and Hampton South Beach.

Job openings are available in maintenance, park crew, meter patrol, and ocean rescue at all Seacoast State Parks, officials said. Interested applicants can contact Laura.morrissey@dncr.nh.gov or call 603-227-8722.
