4 Student Musicians Earn Spots in All State Music Festival
Students will participate in musical festival in the spring.
Four students from Souhegan High School have earned spots in the spring All-State Music Festival, with two of them earning the top scores among those auditioning from high schools around the state.
Jason Emmond, a bass player, and Tina Huang, a trombonist, each earned the top overall score of those auditioning for the elite music festival. Kole Nunley, also a trombonist, make the cut as well, earning the third best score among the student musicians auditioning.
Nunley and Emmonds also both recently made the Jazz All-State Orchestra.
On the vocal music side of things, three Souhegan students auditioned, including Jake Upton, Lauren Kaltsas and Liz Purvis. Kaltas earned a spot in the mixed choir.
Congratulations to all the students who auditioned!
