Winter Wind Advisory Issued, Rain And Fog Expected In New Hampshire: Weekend Weather Forecast

Expect balmy temps Friday, but possible outages as wind blows down tree limbs as well as unsecured objects, like Christmas decorations.

CONCORD, NH — Expect some blustery weather this weekend in New Hampshire, forecasters said.

Around noon on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for most of the state, warning of high winds and gusts from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. The southerly wind will be between 15 and 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects,” the alert stated. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”

“Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles,” the alert stated. “Use extra caution.”

On Friday morning, expect fog and rain, and then fog in the late afternoon. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s with winds from 15 to 20 mph and gusts as high as 35 mph. Winds and gusts will be slightly lower in Nashua and southwestern New Hampshire, as well as the Seacoast. More rain is expected on Friday night with more fog in the overnight and early morning hours.

The sun returns on Saturday with highs in the mid-30s. The wind will be slightly less gusty, according to forecasters. Overnight lows will be in the mid-20s.

More sun is expected on Sunday with highs in the lower 40s and overnight lows in the teens.

On Monday, it will be colder but sunny, with highs in the mid-20s and overnight lows in the teens.

Snow is possible on Tuesday.
