The following information was provided by the Merrimack Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

An Amherst man was arrested Wednesday night following an alleged drunken driving incident in which police say he struck a parked SUV.
Brian Fierley, 56, of 21 Storybrook Lane, Amherst, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and resisting arrest on Nov. 27.
Merrimack Police say they were called with Merrimack Fire and Rescue to Boston Post Road near Craftsman Lane at 9:11 p.m. for a motor vehicle crash. On the scene, police say they found a 2013 Subaru Impreza driven by Fierley was heading west on Boston Post Road when he struck a parked 2003 Ford Expedition.
While speaking with Fierley, an officer said he noticed signs of alcohol impairment and when the officer attempted to investigate further Fierley sat back down in his car and refused to cooperate. When he was told he was under arrest he struggled with police as they attempted to take him into custody, police said.
Fierley was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in the Merrimack district court on Dec. 10 to answer to the charges.
